We love love love these simple, tasty, and oh so very healthy little treats. Pepitas, or “little seed of squash” are the Spanish name for pumpkin seeds.
These green seeds are power packed with vital minerals including selenium and zinc. They are also very high in protein so they are perfect to take with you for a quick energy boost. You can enjoy them raw but we love them toasted.
We throw a few handfuls into our cast iron skillet and dry toast them up. They will pop and crackle in the pan and when they do, turn off the flame and add a few dashes of Bragg’s Liquid Amino’s or soy sauce.
Stir around to coat evenly and enjoy!
